The Mission of KHC's Advisory Board
The Mission of the advisory board is to research anything and everything about hitting,
share the knowledge and use this to consistently improve our hitting development program.
Members
John Kazanas - A lifer in the game as a player, coach and scout... John currently works as a regional scounting supervisor for the Chicago White Sox.
Nick Evans - NIck is currently an outfielder for the New York Mets. Nick was a 4th round draft pick out of Phoenix, Arizona's St Mary's High School.
Darryl Scott - Darryl is currently a coach in the Colorado Rockies System. He played collegiately at Loyola Marymount University before getting drafted by the Angels and making it to the "Big Leagues". He also played a couple years in Japan as well.
Alex Cherney - Alex is the Head coach at Scottsdale (AZ) Community College and has taken his program to the World Series in 2 of his 5 years at the helm.
Tagg Lain - Tagg is the Head Coach of Cheyenne, Wyoming's Post 6 American Legion program. His teams have won more than 20 state championships during his tenure. He also is part of USA baseball as the Head Coach of the American Legion team in the Tournament of Stars.
Scott Bullock - Scott is the Head Coach of Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has lead the Lobo's to 4 consecutive big school state championships in Colorado. His teams are always ranked nationally and is a great baseball mind.
Steve Scarsone - Steve is currently a Manager in the Oakland A's organization. Steve has coached in the Diamondbacks, Phillies and A's organizations after playing 14 years professionaly with 7 years in the Majors... mostly with the current world champion San Francisco Giants.
Jack Phelps - Jack is currently a Krush Hitting Instructor and works with his daughter (Olympic Gold medal winner, Jaycie Phelps) at their multipurpose training center in McCordsville, Indiana. Jack played his college ball at Indiana State University and is newly elected into the Indiana Softball Hall of Fame.
Dr. Larry Guerrero - Dr Guerrero's playing days were at Northeastern Oklahoma Junior College and Oklahoma City University before coaching at Oklahoma State University. He is a professor of Kinesiology and wrote his Doctoral thesis on hitting... just our kind of guy.
Mark Martinez - Coach Martinez is currently coaching with the legendary Tony Gwynn at San Diego State University after spendin 15 years at the University of New Mexico. Mark's playing days were spent at Mesa State University in Colorado.
George Adams - George is currently coaching at defending state champion, Scottsdale (AZ) Saguaro High School and is a very knowlegable hitting instructor. George has put together several narrative's on hitting.
Joe Bergs - Joe is currently the President of East Scottsdale (AZ) Little League. Joe has spent most of his adult life coaching at the youth level and brings a valuable asset to our board.
